Speech & Language Therapist
An opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our forward thinking team at Abbot's Way School
Clinical supervision is provided to support development of your clinical competences and deliver evidence based approaches to intervention
Professional registration with RCSLT and HCPC is required
Knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Dyslexia / SpLD
- Language disorder & processing
- Auditory processing
- Speech sound disorder
- Social communication
- High functioning ASD
- Sensory preferences & sensory integration
Salary: Band 6 post, salary dependent on experience
Hours: Full time hours preferable
Contract: The post is for five days per week, term time only, plus inset days (5 per year)

Assessment Support Roles
We are looking for additional members of our assessment support team, to work with our students to implement their exam access arrangements, during both internal and external assessments
This role could include being a reader, scribe, prompt or invigilator for some of our young people
You will be a valued part of the dynamic Abbot’s Way Team at our small, pioneering specialist school
Your role will include training, with opportunities to learn about our students and their individual profiles
Salary: £11.50 / hour
Hours: As required across the academic year

Student Support Team
We are looking for an energetic and empathic person to be part of the Abbot’s Way School Team
This role is vital to the running of the school and the wellbeing of our students
The successful applicant will form supportive relationships and engage our young people in play and activities
Duties include:
- Creating, supporting and leading our student rota for various duties
- Preparing, setting up and clearing away snacks and drinks
- Staffing break and lunch time, offering activities which engage and support young people
- Supporting the set up and catering for parent events held at school
- Assisting with after school care an optional extra
Contract: 5 days a week during term time (34 weeks / year)
Hours: 10:45 – 11:30
12:45 – 2:15
15:45 - 17:00 optional
